Since 1989, G-Star has been a denim pioneer - originating the concept of luxury denim for the streets; popularizing raw, untreated denim as a wearable and desirable material; and introducing 3-D design into jeans construction.   For more than twenty years, craftsmanship and innovation have been at the heart of everything G-Star does, underscoring the philosophy of Just the Product. People are three dimensional. Most clothing is not. In 1996, G-Star pioneered the introduction of the first sculpted, 3-D denim with the iconic G-Star Elwood. Fusing articulated-knee design cues from leather motocross trousers with the functionality of workwear painters pants, G-Star mapped out an altogether new way of thinking about denim. Evolving this 3D approach, G-Star then introduced the Arc Pant, an even more intricately constructed design. This highly architectural cut features a low-crotch and straight-hip, with an asymmetric taper and inside flair on the leg to add dynamic tension. The result is a silhouette that looks built for a 3-D human being. Dedicated to the reinvention of denim as more than just everyday wear.
